You are my favourite multicolour card ever made. You are a perfect Magic card, peak design, it doesn’t get any better than you. I love everything about you. You are a perfect Cube card, as a drafter and as a designer. You are a sneaky burn spell that on its own is good enough to play in a red deck, but also the reason to just run that random Shivan Reef you’ve drafted. I love those moments when you get to cast an Ice from a random fixing land and win the game with it. 

You were released into this world in 2001, and won the Pro Tour that same year in the hands of none other than Kai Budde: the Extended Pro Tour New Orleans 2001. You have seen Vintage play, Legacy play, Pauper play and with your reprint in Modern Horizons 2 in 2021 you have also seen Modern play. How fitting it is that your last Pro Tour top 8 was also in the hands of Kai Budde at Pro Tour Lord of the Rings in 2023. I hope that that was your last Pro Tour appearance to be honest, it just makes for too good of a story. 

A story we all can remember and tell while drafting you in Cube. The place where Magic cards and their stories can live forever, their retirement homes. Very fancy, awesome and fun retirement homes that is. Because Cube is where I want you to shine, where I want to play you, where you are still peak Magic design. Cube is the place where people can make their own new stories with you while telling the old ones.
