There are so many Wrath of God variants in Magic these days. You were a very early one from Odyssey, released in 2001. At 6 mana you are quite expensive for you effect because we all have been spoiled by the original Wrath of God, but you have the cute little bonus of creating a couple of Spirit Tokens every now and again. Browsing MTGTop8, a website I usually check for some background information on cards, tells me you haven’t done much special in you life. Just another Wrath of God variant that was forgotten as soon as it was printed because you are just not efficient enough. That was until the 4th of August 2023. 

On the 4th of August 2023 you were reprinted in Commander Masters. Nothing special there, they reprint random Wrath of God variants in Commander product all the time. What was special this time, is that you were reprinted as an uncommon. An actual Wrath of God effect at uncommon in White. This makes you unique till this day. 

You have slid into many, many Peasant Cubes since that day, and you have definitely made my Peasant Cube list. You are perfect for that Cube. With the creatures becoming better and better, control definitely needed an actual Wrath of God effect in that Cube. Firespout is still one of the strongest cards in that Cube, but could really use some help with this power creep on creatures. At 6 mana you are not too efficient, which is very much in tune with the power level of a Peasant Cube. I love having you there.
