I love you, to me you are a perfect Magic card. Your design is so elegant, you are the red Remand to me. You fit into any deck, you take on any role, you present so many hard choices. Any target makes you flexible and Scry 2 is always a great puzzle to solve. You slide under an Isochron Scepter, you help flip Delver of Secrets, heck, you even help Etali, Primal Storm on being even more unfair than he already is. 

You have been in 2 different standard environments being printed in Fifth Dawn and Theros. You’ve made 16 Grand Prix top 8’s and won 4: 2014 in Moscow, 2014 in Stockholm, 2014 in San Antonio and 2016 in Dallas. You’ve made 8 Pro Tour top 8’s appearances and even won one in 2004 in the hands of Kamiel Cornellissen. A track record any pro player would be proud of. 

You are represented in 8 of my 19 cubes, a shared second place with 7 other cards and only topped by my favourite Magic card of all time Remand. I’ve been organising Cube Invitationals for over 10 years now and in the last one you’ve helped me to 3-0 my Hanjo Masters #1 draft to secure me a seat at the top 8. Unfortunately we didn’t match up in the top 8 and I didn’t win the event. 

In a couple of weeks I’m organising my next Cube Invitational. You are part of the first cube that I will be playing that day, my Duplicate Sealed Cube. My co-writer and dear friend Danny is also playing that cube, and Danny and I are tied for the most Cube Invitational wins: 3. All I can say is, I hope I see you and I hope you help me out to claim my spot on top of that mountain.
